The Virgin Islands Department of Agriculture in partnership with the Department of Tourism is soliciting vendors for participation in an AgTourism/Market Day activity at the Sanderilla Thomas Bungalow in the Rothschild Francis Square on St. Thomas. The activity will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 8, in support of the arrival of the Oasis of the Seas and other cruise ships that will be visiting Virgin Islands’ shores on that day. Vendors are being sought in the categories of prepared foods, juices, preserves, produce, and arts and crafts. There will be no charge for the use of vending spaces.
The market day will provide an opportunity to share aspects of V.I. cuisine, history, agriculture, and other cultural delights and treats. Interested persons should contact Mary Bertie at Agriculture by Friday, Dec. 4, at 774-5182.
