Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority customer service offices throughout the territory will close at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 27, to facilitate a territory-wide video-conference staff meeting. Offices on St. Croix and St. Thomas will reopen from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 28 and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on St. John.
Next week, all offices will observe normal operating hours on Monday, Dec. 31 and Thursday, Jan. 3. St. Thomas and St. John offices will open on Wednesday, Jan. 2; St. Croix offices will be closed.
All offices will be closed on Dec. 25, 26, and Jan. 1, 4 and 7.
Customers are urged to avoid long lines by using other payment options that include online payments at www.viwapa.vi,; placing a check or money order in the drop boxes at WAPA business offices; or by mail using the envelope included with the billing statement. Payments can also be made at most local banks. Customers paying in person will save time by bringing their bills with them to the cashier windows. The authority extends best wishes to every customer for a very healthy and safe holiday season.
