The newly dubbed "Club Ryno Trio" will be performing a free series of three-hour shows Thursdays beginning at 6 p.m. at the Club Ryno Restaurant and Outdoor Lounge in Palm Passage.
The Club Ryno Trio is a local, high-intensity, ambient jazz trio consisting of Jay Carlson on guitar, Jake Adams on drumset and Ross Alexander on upright bass. The trio is best known for its modern jazz interpretations of great jazz classics and standards.
Influences of the trio are worldly and reach into many different genres, but what the members enjoy the most is great musicianship and deeply communicative music like that of groups led by Bill Evans, Keith Jarrett, Jim Hall, etc.
Supporters of excellent, free music will be greatly appreciated by the band and the club, which has provided a desperately needed venue for local folks to come hear great local talent.
