V.I. FLAG HAS LOCAL HISTORY

I would like to answer you on your opinion on the V.I. flag.
The yeoman that you speak of was my grandfather Percival Wilson Sparks. Furthermore my great aunt Blanche Joseph Sasso and my grandmother Grace Joseph Sparks hand crocheted the first flag.
To me it is not that simple a matter to have a new flag as my family continues to exist in these islands and are proud of the fact that our ancestors had something to do with making history in the Virgin Islands.
By the way have you ever seen a flag that represents anyplace that actually shows where it's from as the V.I. that is emblazoned on the flag?
Well some years ago an issue was made as you are making now and when the story was told about the 'yeoman' the movement stopped. However they succeeded in changing the official seal to what it is today.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to email me. There are affidavits that were made on the issue and my great aunt Blanche is still alive today and can surely relate it to you.
