Acting Education Commissioner Ruby Simmonds has named June Archibald as the department's public relations director.
Archibald has been with the department for several years. She has extensive experience in public relations.
Archibald also has experience with the media. She hosts a weekly radio show on Radio One and co-authors a column for the Daily News.
