If you're trying to focus on the spiritual side of your life, you're invited to attend Dada J.P. Vaswani's April 6 lecture on "How to Face the Challenges of Life."
The program will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom of Marriott's Frenchman's Reef Hotel. Admission is free and all are welcome. Guests are asked to be seated by 7:15 p.m.
Dada Vaswani's visit will be his 10th to St. Thomas, and each time he has been well-received. A philosopher and mentor, he is the spiritual head of the Sadhu Vaswani Mission in Pune, India, which is a nonsectarian, nonprofit service organization dedicated to promoting peace, nonviolence and love.
Dada Vaswani, who has been the guest speaker at many international conferences and at such prestigious places as the House of Commons in London, offers a thought for every day of the month, including:
— "That man is truly great who can show sympathy even to an enemy."
— "When there is love in the heart, man becomes incapable of inflicting hurt."
— "Nothing lasts forever — the present moment of joy and sorrow will soon pass away."
— "Be kind to everyone. Who knows the next person you meet has a broken heart."
His visit is sponsored by the India Association of the Virgin Islands. The April 6 program will include remarks by Gov. Charles W. Turnbull and India Association President Lal Sakhrani.
