Governor Charles W. Turnbull has proclaimed Friday May 7, as "Teacher's Day" in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Dr. Turnbull, the territory's first educator to be elected, said,"It is fitting that we honor our teachers who strive to improve and upgrade the standards of education for the benefit of the children of the Virgin Islands."
