Problems with three of its units continue to plague the Water and Power Authority and may cause WAPA to have to implement rotations again on Wednesday.
Patricia Blake-Simmonds, spokesperson for WAPA, warned that the authority can "just barely meet its peak demand with the cooperation of several entities using private generators."
The problems involve unit 15 which went down Tuesday and could not be revived due to control circuitry problems. A control specialist is on the way, but won't be here until Wednesday night, according to a release from WAPA.
Unit 12 is down for a scheduled overhaul and unit 13 has a major boiler problem. A contractor is on island working on unit 13 and expects to complete the repairs by the end of next week, according to the release.
In the meantime if WAPA needs to implement a rotation it will be as follows:
