Governor Charles W. Turnbull has proclaimed the month of May as "Cleanup and Beautification Month" in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Residents and business are urged to cleanup their premises, their neighborhoods and community. The quality of our environment is important to the health, safety, scenic and economic benefits for residents and visitors alike.
The Governor directed the Commissioner of Education to establish a program throughout the territory's school system to instilll in our childdren the necessity of keeping their schools and our islands clean and free of litter.
