The man shot to death by police in Frenchman's Bay last Thursday has been identified as 20-year-old Damian Phillips of Frydenhoj, the V.I. Police Department said Monday.
Phillips was fatally shot outside an apartment, by police who were responding to reports of a burglary.
According to reports, police exchanged fire with Phillips and another man as the pair fled the building toward nearby bushes.
On Friday, Phillip Toussaint, 24, of Est. Bovoni, was arrested in connection with the attempted burglary. Police are still seeking a third suspect.
A shotgun was recovered at the scene of the shooting.
Phillips' body was identified Monday by his father, who is from Tortola.
