A moderate earth tremor felt throughout the Virgin Islands Thursday afternoon registered 4.1 on the Richter Scale, according to geology researchers at the University of Puerto Rico.
The quake occurred shortly before 2:30 p.m. Its epicenter was estimated to be 28 miles north of Tortola. No damage or injury as a result of the tremor was reported.
