Campus, teamed up to win the Annual Beach Relay Race on Saturday at the Ha
Penny Beach in St. Croix.
Harper and Ketcham’s combined times for the 2X2-mile run was 31 minutes and 50 seconds. Marie Elise Witmer and Donatus Ringham was the second-place team in 36:45. Elena Shaubah and Denise Blanchette was the first place female team in 37:04 and Gretlyn Christopher and Leopold Federicks fourth overall in 37:57.
The run is held in conjunction with the Coastweeks, a project dedicated to
increasing the awareness and understanding of the importance of beaches and marine resources.
The next V.I. Pace Runners event is the West Indies Lab 5 Mile Road Race on
Saturday, Oct. 23 at 6 a.m. The race starts at the St.Croix Yacht Club at the entrance of the former West Indies Lab and ends at Southgate on the East End Road.
