UNITED'S INAUGURAL FLIGHT SUNDAY

The long awaited United Airline's entre into St. Thomas is Sunday. The first flight will be from Washington, D.C.'s Dulles Airport.
There will be a ceremonial ribbon cutting to mark it's arrival.
The flight is due to arrive at 2:14 p.m. It is the first of two flights on Sunday. The second flight will come in from Chicago's O'Hare International Airport at 2:35 p.m.
The inaugural flight will bring travel agents, tour operators and other industry representatives to St. Thomas.
Acting Tourism Commissioner Michael Bornn, V.I. Port Authority Executive Gordon Finch and United Airlines General Manager Janise Robinson will be on hand to welcome the flight.
"The beginning of United's flights into the territory have long been awaited. Since the announcement earlier this year, the Department of Tourism, V.I. Port Authority and United, along with other interested industry partners have worked very hard toward making the twice-daily weekend flights a reality," Bornn said in a release from Tourism.
