JOSE GEORGE TO ADDRESS LEAGUE

0

Jose George, former director of Management and Budget, will address the monthly meeting of the League of Women Voters at 12 noon Monday, Nov. 15, at L'Escargot restaurant in Sub Base.
George, who also served as executive director of the Housing Finance Authority, will discuss his perspective on the Memorandum of Understanding between the Interior Department and the V.I. government, and other economic issues.
George now is comptroller of Chase Manhattan Bank. His analysis of economic issues facing the territory will come from a private-sector perspective, according to Erva Denham, president of the league.
All league luncheons are open to the public. The league encourages non-members to take advantage of the monthly meetings to become familiar with important issues facing the Virgin Islands.
For reservations call Eleanor Cerge at 776-9357 or Elizabeth Delagarde at 776-0287.
