A 26-year-old man was shot and killed on St. Croix Saturday night, the 25th homicide in the territory this year.
Angel "Nana" Felix of Ralph de Chabert Housing Community was pronounced dead at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital at approximately 10:30 p.m., according to Deputy Police Chief Novelle Francis. Francis said Felix, who had been shot in the shoulder, was dropped off at the hospital by an unidentified man about a half-hour before he died.
Francis said the single gunshot wound apparently severed an artery.
Police have no motive for the shooting as yet. They believe Felix may have been shot in the Barren Spot area.
Felix’s death is the 11th homicide on St. Croix this year.
