I wanted to make a suggestion that there be a call-in center serving past, present and future Caribbean tourists. Ideally, it would be located in St Thomas
Call-in centers take up very little room per employee and arent difficult to install. National call-in center operators favor the flat accents found in the Midwest, like Omaha, which is the place they are centered. Pretty much like country music is to Nashville.
There are call-in operations all over depending on employee and space cost. Tourists going to the Caribbean, however, would expect our accents. It is a needed service that would have an impact on travel decisions, the VI vs. other Caribbean islands and the Caribbean vs. other places.
Public relations should be seen as important as advertising. It would also benefit the civil servants that we are about to force to retire.
