NO FOUL PLAY REVEALED IN AUTOPSY

Foul play does not appear to have played a role in the death of a 3-year-old girl whose body was brought to the hospital four days after she died.
Medical Examiner Dr. Francisco Landron performed the autopsy Thursday afternoon on the partially decomposed body of Bianca Phillips.
Landron told the Source that the post mortem did not reveal any evidence of trauma to the body or other visible signs of injury. Landron said while the autopsy results are consistent with a natural death, he will send body tissue for toxicology testing, a process that should require three to four weeks for completion.
Landron also confirmed that the child had a history of seizures.
The child's mother told police investigators that the girl apparently died while sleeping last Friday morning.
The mother said she panicked when her daughter died and she put the child's body in a bushy area near Solberg.
Police and hospital authorities were notified of the child's death by the child's grandmother and uncle, who said the mother eventually told them about it. The mother led the relatives to the body after they questioned her about where she had taken the child's body.
There was no word from police late Thursday afternoon on how the major crime detectives, who have had the lead role in this case, will factor in the medical examiner's report into the ongoing investigation.
