The National Spiritual Assembly of the Virgin Islands Baha'is will meet on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 14 and 15, on St. Thomas at the Baha'i National Center at No. 129 Contant.
According to a release, the Assembly has responsibilty to direct and coordinate activities of the Baha'i communities in the U.S. and British Virgin Islands.
Members of the Assembly are Alan Smith, Cathy Von Gonten, Susan Harmer, Susan Wakelee, Dan Odell, Virginia Rounds, Julia Armbruster, Jerry Weninger and Natalie Canoville.
The Assembly was elected by votes from members of local Baha'i communities by individual ballot during their 34th national convention, which was held in April of this year. All Baha'is 21 and over are eligible for election, according to the release.
