Candace Groce, has moved up from assistant manager to manager of American Yacht Harbor on St. Thomas' East End.
Groce started at the complex in March when it was purchased by MOF V.I. Limited Partnership. Dennis P. Kissman, president of Marina Management Services Inc. of Boca Raton, Fla., announced Groce's promotion. He described MOF as a Texas-based investor group.
A native of Georgia, Groce worked as chief operations officer for a Georgia-based software development company and as a slip leasing agent for a 500-slip marina there, according to a written statement. That was followed by a stint as a marina manager in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and as manager of a dry-stack boat storage facility.
AYH is a full-service, 84-slip marina and a 52,000 square foot complex offering retail and office space.
