KIRWIN ELEMENTARY HOSTS BLACK HISTORY EVENTS

The Michael J. Kirwan Elementary School will host a lecture series commemorating Black History Month beginning with a lecture at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 26, at the school.
The program entitled "An Evening of Poetry," will feature presentations by Mrs. Aloma Blake, Dr. Vincent Cooper, UVI Professor Gene Emmanuel, Dr. W. Gumbs, Dr. George Newton and Mr. Larry Sewer.
The second presentation, "Famous Virgin Islanders," will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, March 5. This program will feature Casper Holstein and Governor Charles W. Turnbull.
The public is invited to attend.
