THE UVI FAMILY PARTNERS IN VOLUNTEER WORK

0

Dear Source:
April 21-27 is National Volunteer Week, with its theme, "Celebrate the American Spirit – Volunteer!" What a great week to thank our local volunteers – St. Thomas Carnival Week! What would we do without the hundreds and hundreds of Carnival volunteers?
Just imagine what our territory would be like without the helping hands and human faces of both public and private individuals. These neighbors-helping-neighbors are thoughtful, committed citizens who continue to change our islands and our world, one activity at a time.
The University of the Virgin Islands would like to extend special thanks to the hundreds of UVI students, faculty, staff and alumni who volunteer in our community, and also to the residents of our community who serve as volunteers on UVI boards, committees and projects.
This year the University of the Virgin Islands celebrates its 40th anniversary. As UVI continues its mission to help provide solutions to our community's higher education, social, cultural and economic development needs, we want to invite even more people to share their creative energy and help us in our efforts. By partnering with these volunteers, UVI will create a greater sense of community and a shared responsibility for our future.
Ready or not, that future has begun. Please join us!
