FRENCH HERITAGE WEEK BEGINS WITH QUEEN PAGEANT

June 28, 2002 – Senator Lorraine L. Berry has released the French Heritage Calendar of events beginning with Sunday's Queen Pageant at the St. Peter Great House at 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 30.
Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 13.
Four contestants are vying for the Miss French Heritage title: Galen Armstrong, Roseanna Berry, Jessica Quetel and Gina Petersen.
Miss Selli Brin, the reigning Miss French Heritage will crown the new queen. The winner will receive a college scholarship gained from the Pageant's and other activities' proceeds. The winner will reign as queen at various functions held in observation of French Heritage Week, culminating in a Bastille Day Celebration on July 14. She will also participate in the 4th of July Parade in St. John and the V.I. Carnival next year.
