St. Croix's party will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, at the LaReine Shopping Center in Kingshill. Food and drinks will be available, and gifts for children up to age 10 will be distributed. Christmas will come early for a lucky young person, as youths between the ages of 11 and 14 will be eligible to win a male or female bicycle, to be raffled during the event.
The governor's children's party on St. John will be held from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, at the Cruz Bay Park. Gifts will be distributed to children up to 11 yeas old. Love City Pan Dragons Band, St. John Majorettes and Morton's Mocko Jumbies will entertain during the event.
The governor urges parents to accompany their children to the parties. He commended Mavis Turnbull Richards and her committee for setting up this year's parties to ensure the events are "fun filled and geared to the pleasure of the children of the Virgin Islands," said a release.
