March 25, 2003 — Five young couples are vying for the title of Prince and Princess for Carnival 2003, the V.I. Carnival Committee has announced, declaring that the couples are "gorgeous" and "talented."
The contestants and their sponsors are:
— Couple No. 1, Zaneta Francis and Liston Georges III
sponsored by Boolchands.
— Couple No. 2, T'Koia Richardson and Kwane Barthlett
sponsored by Medical Air Services
— Couple No. 3, Gemequa Bell and Jakel Bell
sponsored by Supreme Printing & ED Plumbing Supply House
— Couple No. 4, Jevanna Augustine and Jaime Donastorg
sponsored by Diamonds International
— Couple No. 5, LaQuanda Fredericks and K'Mani Dowe
sponsored by Metro Motors
They all take the stage at Lionel Roberts Stadium at 5 p.m. Sunday, April 6.
Ticket prices in advance are $10 adult and $5 child. At the gate they are $12 adult and $7 child. Advance tickets can be purchased at Family Health Center, International Records & Tapes, Krystal & Gifts Galore at Tutu Park Mall, Modern Music Havensight, Nisky Pharmacy, Parrot Fish and St. John Drug Center.
