SUMMER MOVIEMAKING SAGA GOES ON AT REICHHOLD

0

May 19, 2003 — This summer the Reichhold Center for the Arts is again offering the Youth Moviemaking Workshop, an intensive seven-week program in film production using digital video cameras.
The all-day sessions, from June 23 to Aug. 8, will cover technology, equipment, and the language and narrative structure of film. Successful candidates will have to demonstrate some artistic ability, by submitting artwork, poems, scripts, or similar materials at some point in the application process.
This year they're seeking applicants ages 13 to 19. Previous attendees can apply, as there will be an advanced program. The cost is $750, $50 of which is for supplies. Scholarship aid is available.
The application deadline is May 23. Application forms are available at the Reichhold Center Web site (click on "Digital Media Institute") or by calling 693-1550 and having the form faxed or mailed. For more information call Denise Humphrey at 693-1552.
