Sept. 17, 2003 — "More Excellence Together" is back again — with even more "More Excellence Together."
Based on the success of last year's training, American Express, the V.I. Tourism Department, and the St. Thomas-St. John Hotel and Tourism Association are pleased to once again offer a one-day, eight-hour "More Excellence Together" training seminar.
"More Excellence Together" is a customer-service training program aimed at providing employees with a proven method to enhance customer service and satisfaction. The sponsors' commitment is to "provide the finest Caribbean experience for guests" who visit the Virgin Islands through the development of hospitality and customer service training, said a release.
The objective is to have 300 ladies and gentlemen who work in the hospitality industry complete the class and be certified in hospitality. Certificates of completion will be awarded to participants that successfully complete the program. Individuals from across the community are invited to attend this course. The only requirement is that employers pay the normal wages of employees attending the course and a $25 registration fee per person.
The course will be presented on St. Croix and on St. Thomas. On Monday, Oct. 6, it will take place at the Buccaneer Hotel on St. Croix. On Wednesday, Oct. 8 and Thursday, Oct. 8, it will be presented at the Renaissance Grand Beach Resort on St. Thomas. All sessions will be from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and lunch will be provided.
Space is limited. Please R.S.V.P. by Sept. 29 to the Hotel Association office at 774-6835, or by fax to 774-4993.
