The Miracle on Main Street, sponsored by the St. Thomas-St. John Chamber of Commerce, will occur for the 10th time Dec. 12 when thousands of residents will flock to the center of town not only to shop, but to listen to music, greet old friends, laugh and dance with the many bands performing that night.
The event begins about 5 p.m. after the stores close and Main St. becomes a mall. It will be preceded by a crafts fair at Emancipation Garden by the Committee to Revive our Culture under the guidance of Dorothy Elskoe, who says there will be about 25 booths this years with local arts and crafts and food. It runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. when it segues into the Main Street event.
