REPUBLICANS CHOOSE CONVENTION DELEGATES

March 8, 2004 – The results of the Republican Party of the Virgin Islands election on Feb. 28 of delegates to the party's national convention this summer have been announced.
Three voting delegates were elected by the party membership in each district. They are:
St. Croix — Samuel Baptiste, Reuben Fenton and Humberto O'Neal.
St. Thomas-St. John — George Blackhall, Lawrence Boschulte and April Newland.
The territorial party will have nine voting delegates at the convention, to be held Aug. 30-Sept. 2 in New York City. The other three consist of the V.I. party's three members of the Republican National Committee — James M. Oliver, V.I. party chair; Lilliana Belardo de O'Neal, national committeewoman; and Holland L. Redfield II, national committeeman.
Three alternates also have been selected from each district. They are:
St. Croix — Manal Missar, nominated by the St. Croix branch of the party; Tracy Pardo de Zela, by petition; and Herb Schoenbohm, by petition.
St. Thomas-St. John — Vincen Clendinen Sr. and Mytsooko King, nominated in writing; and Molly Mills-Fuchs, selected by the three RNC members.
