TUESDAY SENATE COMMITTEE SESSION POSTPONED

0

April 5, 2004 – The only Senate activity that had been scheduled for this week, a St. Thomas hearing of the Government Operations Committee on Tuesday evening, was postponed on Monday afternoon.
The hearing was scheduled to take testimony on operations of the Licensing and Consumer Affairs Department. Those invited to testify were LCA Commissioner Andrew Rutnik; the president of the V.I. Vendors Association; and the presidents or owners of 13 taxi and/or tour businesses.
According to a Senate source, the hearing was postponed because Rutnik is ill.
The meeting has been rescheduled for 6 p.m. April 15.
