Soldier Who Died in Iraq, Services July 1

June 28, 2004 – Jason Nathaniel Lynch, age 21, of Estate Mary's Fancy, died Friday, June 18 in Iraq. The U.S. Army private's death made the front page of The Washington Post in an article describing the last hour in his life. He was hit by enemy fire and died less than an hour later in a forward base hospital just north of Baghdad.
He is survived by his mother, Paula Lynch; father, Hubert Lynch; sisters, Julie Lynch, Josephine Lynch-Walcott, Patricia Lynch-Irvin and Rita Lynch-Richardson; brother, Denis Lynch, Sr, Hubert Lynch, Jr., Joel Lynch and Jamil Green; close nieces: Kaylah Browne, Kaedah Browne and many more too numerous to mention; nephews too numerous to mention; aunts, Hazel Lannaman, Elizabeth "Betty" Lynch, Celine, Pasty, Jaseline, Kay Pemberton, Cleopha Francis-Hall; uncles, Omah Williams Miller, Euclid, Joseph, Ernest Lynch and Fetus Pemberton; sisters-in-law: Pearline Lynch and Venia Lynch; brother-in-law,Melville Irvin and Waren Richardson, Sr,; close cousins, Ruby, Kim and Joise Urgent; best freinds; Daniel Kulerrts, Sunil Seegolam and Elizabeth Castro and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
Viewing will take place at Government House on Thursday, July 1, 2004 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Service will follow at St. John's Anglican Church at 11 a.m. Interment follows at the Kingshill Cemetery veteran section.
