July 21, 2004 – Carmen Lolita Heyliger Gibbs, 91, of Frederiksted died July 13, 2004, at Texhoma Christian Care Nursing Home in Texas.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Frederiksted, with viewing at 10 to 11 a.m. before the service. Interment will be at Frederiksted Cemetery.
She is survived by her son, Alfred Gibbs of St. Croix; daughter, Louise Jones of Texas; grandchildren, Kareem Gibbs, Shacara Gibbs, Jermaine Jones, Christina Gibbs; sisters, Petronella Holms of New York, Raphaela Albany of St. Croix; brothers, Lambert Heyliger and Evans Heyliger, both of St. Croix; sisters-in-law, Gloria Bell, Rita Andrews, Elfreda Gibbs, Genieva Heyliger, Mavis Williams; brothers-in-law, Earl Gibbs and John Bell; son-in-law, Terry Jones; daughters-in-law, Sheila Gibbs and Sarah Gibbs; granddaughter-in-law, Rene Gibbs; special cousins, Iris Heyliger, Lolly Benjamin, Cousin Eleanor; special friends, Ann Jackson, Sadie Drummond, Eulalie Rivera, Louis Mathias, Estelle Grubbs, Ezekiel Johannes; and nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
