28 Participate in Bicycle Race From Fort to Fort

August 3, 2004 – Twenty-eight bicyclists participated in a race from Fort Christiansvaern to Fort Frederik, hosted by the V I. Cycling Federation, Sunday, Aug. 1. The race, referred to as Anything Goes #2, was approximately 15 miles and started at 6:30 a.m.
The VICF has had an active racing season in 2004. Cycling races on St Croix have included two individual time trials, a two-person time trial and seven road races. The VICF racing season began in January and this race was the last of the season.
Competitors could ride any type of bike using any route, hence the name Anything Goes.
Jamie Keys was first across the line. He finished the race in 38 minutes and forty-six seconds.
