WAPA Work to Interrupt Traffic in Sub Base

Aug. 3, 2004 – Water and Power Authority crews will be continuing the installation of underground electrical ducts Wednesday in Sub Base, working from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. between Joe's Discount and Bryan's Electrical Contracting.
According to a WAPA release issued on Tuesday, the eastbound lane of the road from the Public Works headquarters to Joe's Discount will be closed, with flaggers on duty to direct traffic.
The road from the WAPA Building to the School Lunch Building intersection will be closed to through traffic, but vehicles will be allowed access to the WAPA standpipe and the Motor Pool. Traffic will be detoured toward the Sub Base tennis courts, the release stated.
