August 10, 2004 – Edna Powell Prentice, also known as "Mama", age 87, of Ralph DeChabert Housing Community died on Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004 at East Chester Rehab Center, Bronx, N.Y.
She is survived by her Daughters: Bernadine "Bernice" George, Hyacinth "Hya" Prentice Carmen Browne, Lilith "Baby" Prentice and Valerie "Val" Martin; Sons: Cedric "Pat" Prentice and James "Sanche" Prentice; Sisters: Florence Liburd and Geralie Rohlsen; Brothers: Cecil and Ketney Prentice; Granddaughters: Averil George, Dr. Deslyn George, Kiameshia Thomas, Nikiy Prentice, Karen Mills, Valencia Benn, Erma, Tanasha, Tessa, Samanta and Cathy Prentice; Grandsons: Neville Harrison, Jr., Shawn Rochester, Dave Mills, Anthony, Kenley, Trevor, Brian, Marlon, Asim, Yan, Sanche Jr., and Akim Prentice; Great Grandchildren: Jerrilyn Abraham, Whitney George, Khadijah Heyliger, Philip Nisbett, Brian Jr., Amanda, Dilon, Calonisa, Calvonis, Juwan , Janea and Divon Prentice, Dale and Dwayne Thomas; Nieces: Violet Rodgers, Emelda H. Thomas, Evelyn M. Miranda, Janet Drew, Iola Byron, Doretha Ward, Juliette Brade, Amabel Prentice, Sylvia Bye, Dowie Rouse and Irma Prentice; Nephews: Adrian "Bucky" Miranda, Roy, Spencer and Vincent Prentice and Cecil Rouse; Great Nieces and Nephews: Rev. Funeral services will be August 12,2004 at Ebenezer Methodist Church at 11 a.m. The viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
