Christiansted Galleries Set Walks for Art Thursdays

October 27, 2004 – The Christiansted Galleries are preparing for the coming season with gallery events. In addition to the seven members from previous years there are two additional venues – The Goldworker and Torch Works. Christiansted Gallery has moved into new quarters upstairs in the Club Comanche.
Art Thursday Gallery Walk features the work of Crucian-born, longtime residents and visiting artists on St Croix. The galleries curate special exhibitions through the season in all mediums of art including oil painting, papier mache, etchings handmade jewelry, glass torch work, photographs, metal work, mixed media, sculptures, pottery and more.
The monthly Gallery Walk is the first Thursday of each month, except for January, when it is the second week. The first walk is Nov. 4. All walks are free and take place from 5 to 9 p.m.
Bellow's International sponsors Art Thursday, with fine wines from California and Australia, and with the participation of many restaurants in downtown Christiansted.
Christiansted galleries taking part are: Christiansted Gallery, Correa Studios, Danica Art Gallery, The Goldworker, ib Designs, Jewelweed, Maria Henle Studio, Torch Works and Yellow House Gallery.
