Oct. 28, 2004 – Friday and Saturday nights, Oct. 29 and 30, there will be live music featuring Sally Smith, pianist and vocalist, in Frederiksted from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at Beach Side Café at Sand Castle On The Beach Hotel.
As leader of her own group, Sally Smith & Co., she has performed at many of the jazz venues in the Virgin Islands and backed many of the singers featured in Steve Simon's Jazz in Moonlight concert series.
With over 35 years' experience, nine of which were in St. Thomas, flexibility and versatility are Sally's hallmarks. Her first St. Croix appearance was opening for jazz great Gato Barbieri at The Island Center in January, according to press materials. Most recently, she was back with Steve Simon for August's Sunset Jazz in Frederiksted.
