Thank Yous from the Danet, Correa and Smith Families

Dear Source,
On behalf of the Dante, Correa and Smith families, this letter extends our gratitude to our families, friends and acquaintances who called us at home, sent us a card or stopped us on the street, to express their thoughts and sympathies on the passing of our beloved Theodore "Magic" Danet.
Yes, it was and still is, a shock on the sudden loss of such an active, exemplary family member and citizen. But the outpouring of love, caring and support from Magic's family and friends after his passing helped us to be strong for each other, then and now.
During that tough week, not only did we meet and hear about Magic from his family and friends, we also learned of the influential nature our Magic had on all he came in contact with. Whether it was his jokes, advice or thoughts, we all had our Magic moments. Now, it is these moments, these wonderful memories that we embrace as we keep his spirit alive.
In closing, we would like to say a special thank you to Drs. Heath and Commissiong, and Juelle and the fourth floor staff at the Roy L. Schneider Hospital for the care you provided during his stay. A special thank you also goes out to Phil Davis and staff at Davis Funeral Home, the Rotary Club of St. Thomas II and American Legion members, especially for the special touch and assistance to Magic's funeral services.
Thank you to our leaders – Gov. Charles W. Turnbull, Delegate Christensen and members of the 25th Legislature – for their expressions of support in our loss. Thank you also to the Committee for the Betterment of Carenage, the Frenchtown Civic Organization, the Northside Civic Organization and Fishing Club, the V.I. Game Fishing Club and the Knights of Columbus for your presence, either over the phone or in person.
Lastly, thank you to everyone who thought of us, but may have been unable to call or attend. Thoughts and prayers were welcomed with great appreciation. The tribute you paid our loved one continues to sustain us at this time.
Respectfully, the Danet, Correa and Smith families
