Oct. 31, 2004 — Eugene Felicia Phipps, also known as "Gene" died on Oct. 20 at the age of 61 at home.
She is survived by her husband, Charles L. Phipps; sons, William and Charles Phipps, Jr.; daughter, Sharon N. Phipps-Hepburn; sisters, Henrietta Benjamin and Vivian Wade; brothers, Samuel and James Myers; five grandchildren, and many other friends and relatives too numerous to mention.
