Delegate to Speak at Friends of the Park Annual Meeting

Nov. 30, 2004 – The Friends of V.I. National Park will hold its annual meeting on Jan. 23 at the T'ree Lizards Restaurant at Cinnamon Bay Campground on St. John. It runs from 1 to 4 p.m.
Delegate Donna M. Christensen will be the featured speaker. Friends President Joe Kessler said the delegate will speak about her work on the House Resources Committee.
"She has been a supporter of national parks on a national level," Kessler said.
Park Superintendent Art Frederick will give the annual state of the park address, and Kessler will speak on Friends activities during the past year. The Friends will name their volunteer of the year and the partnership of the year.
Kessler said the annual meeting is a way for residents and visitors to meet the board and the Friend's leadership.
Membership runs $30 for individuals and $50 for families. Volunteers will be on hand to sign up members.
The meeting concludes with a social period that includes snacks and drinks.
