Feb. 1, 2005 – WTJX-TV Channel 12/DT 44 and the V.I. Education Department have teamed up to help teachers become certified in mathematics.
Teacher Tutorial will begin Tuesday, February 8 on WTJX, targeting educators who need to pass the mathematics certification exam.
Cletus Emmanuel will be the instructor for the six-week course.
Teacher Tutorial will be a live, call-in broadcast airing from 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays from WTJX's St. Croix studios in Gallows Bay.
Teacher Tutorial will pre-empt Arthur and Maya and Miguel on these days. However, the two programs will return to their regular time slots in mid-March. Additionally, The Teacher is In, at 6 p.m. Fridays will be pre-empted until further notice.
Viewers on the south side of St. Croix are reminded they can receive WTJX's signal on translator station W05AW Channel 5 by hooking up a small outdoor antenna and in some cases a pair of rabbit ears to their TV sets.
