Feb. 24, 2005 — Gertrude Florentina Glasford of Kirwan Terrace died on Feb. 15 at age 79 at Roy L. Schneider Hospital.
She is survived by her daughters, Pearline Glasford and Elizabeth Alcindor; son, Valmon Glasford Sr.; sisters, Pearline Huggins and Florine Smithen; brother, Levi Browne; sisters-in-law, Edris and Melrose Browne; grandchildren, Shakiem, Vashawn, Vasyhana, Veeja, and Valmon Glasford Jr., Kasey Callwood, AnnaKiya Hachett and Rudolph Hodge Jr.; and many other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Davis Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. Burial will be at Western Cemetery.
