March 8, 2005 — Phillip Arthur Parris, better known as "Pilot" or "Deflames" of Springfield, Grove Place, died Friday, March 4. He was 73 years old.
Parris was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Parris. He is survived by his daughters, Viola, Cynthia, Lauretta and Bernadette Parris; sons, Clive, David and Benjamin Parris; grandchildren, Deshawn, Ky'shawn, Denise, Dennis, Dawn, Dave, Verna, Tiffany, Tracy, Amanda, Richie, Trevor, Joanne, Hector, Keisha, Chetoya, Ricardo, Ricardia and Divincy; great-grandchildren, Shanice, Shavorne, De'Andre, Da'Vonte, Monica, Trevor, Kaela, Isaiah and Michelle; brothers, Wilmot Parris, Thomas Parris and William Parris; nieces, Edna, Sandra, Verna, Icilma, Gladys and Julycia; nephews, Almond, Milton, Anthony, Spencer, Delington, Elton, Julian, Gary, Clive and Calvin; daughter-in-law, Tina Gott-Parris; sister-in-law, Edna; special friends, Brown, Ernie and Whiteman; other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
Funeral services will take place at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 12, at Holy Cross Episcopal Church with viewing beginning at 1:30 p.m. Burial will take place at Kingshill Cemetery. Professional arrangements are entrusted to James Memorial Funeral Home.
