March 23, 2005 — Anthony Marrero, also known as "Costa," of D. Hamilton Jackson Terrace, died away Wednesday, March 16 at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital. He was 33.
Marrero is survived by his mother, Aracelis Bennett; father, Luis E. Marrero; grandparents, Aida Ayala and Padro Bennett; daughters, Antenique, Antonisha and Antenasia Marrero; son, Anthony Marrero Jr.; sisters, Myra Padro and Michelle Encarnacion; brothers, Wilfredo Valentine and Luis Marrero Jr.; nieces, Kyleah Marrero, Caidah Marrero, Kleshelle Gaskin and Ninoshka Santiago; nephews, Jashim Marrero and Roberto Santiago; aunts, Elizabeth Bennett, Nils M. Baird, Nerieda M. Principe, Maria Payne, Miriam Ventura and Angelina Felix; uncles, Andres Marrero, Jesus and Jose Figueroa, Enrique Matta, Luis Perez, and Reynaldo, Carmelo and Roberto Bennett; godson, Jabari Hendrickson; godfather, Benito Torres; godmother, Arma Acevedo; cousins, Reynoldo Jr., Richard and Roberto Bennett, Wanda Belardo and others too numerous to mention; close friends, Diane M. Carroll and Cabrielle Regis; special friends, Shelbourne, Tracey, K-john, Ebone, All, Evette, Elizabeth, Mitch, Kirn, Jahdeed, Okimo, Mario, Roebuck, Kyra Lynch and Julia Browne.
Marrero is preceded in death by his brother, Eduardo Marrero.
Funeral services will take place on at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 24 at Iglesia Hermanos Unidos En Cristo in Est. Strawberry, with viewing beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
