E.A.S.T. Night Snorkel Trip at Hull Bay

0

June 4, 2005 – Explore the nocturnal inhabitants of Hull Bay with Environmental Association of St. Thomas/St. John and Homer’s Night Snorkel. The night snorkel will show us creatures that are rarely seen during the day, such as, moray eels, octopuses, lobsters, urchins and other nocturnal fish come out from their hiding places to feed. The most amazing part of the night snorkel, though, will be the bioluminescent organisms putting on a light show for us.
All participants must know how to swim and snorkel. The cost for EAST members is $30 for equipment rental, including mask, snorkel, fins and flashlight or $20 for just the flashlight. The cost for non-members is $35 for full equipment or $25 for flashlight alone. The night snorkel will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2005. Participants will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the boat ramp in Hull Bay. Other amenities are available.
