Sept. 5, 2005 – Angel Bermudez Delagado, also known as "Pote," was shot to death on Friday, Sept. 2. He was from Estate Carlton and was 18 years old.
He is survived by his mother, Marie T. Delgado; father, Julio Bermudez; stepfather, Anthony Velazquez; and grandparents, Joy Delgado and Ana Rivera. He is also survived by sisters, Sonia "Didi" and Nilka Bermudez; brothers, Dante Velazquez and Javier Bermudez; and stepbrothers: Raheem, Rasheen, Rakeel and Rakem Velazquez. Other survivors include step-grandparents, Anita Velazquez and Leo Sender; special friend, Sheila Otano; close friends: Juan Berrios, Rusil Encarnacion, Ruperto Berrios, Erwin and Luis Romero, and Little; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing on Thursday, Sept. 8, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Frederiksted Cemetery.
