St. Croix Foundation Sponsors Detective Training

0

Sept. 20, 2005 – The St. Croix Foundation continues its longstanding partnership with the V.I. Police Department by sponsoring two St. Croix detectives from the V.I.P.D. to travel to Albany, N.Y. and attend the Henry F. Williams Homicide Seminar, the Williams Course.
V.I.P.D. Detectives Anthony Hector and Richard Matthews departed Sept. 16 to attend the seminar and will return Sept. 22.
Hosted by the New York State Police for 18 years, the Williams Course is an internationally recognized seminar designed to teach homicide detectives crime scene management, forensic science, legal, and analytical techniques for homicide investigations.
Attendance at the Williams Course is by invitation only and attracts homicide detectives from the U.S., Canada and around the world. Course attendees have the opportunity to form personal and professional relationships, which may be helpful in current, or future investigations. All participants in the Williams Course are included in a directory of Williams Associates, a resource linking homicide detectives across the globe. Annually updated and sent to attendees from past seminars, the directory is a networking tool for detectives.
