St. Croix Theatre Presents Murder Comedy

0

Sept. 22, 2005 – Caribbean Community Theatre will present Murder at the Howard Johnson's – "A murderously funny adult comedy about the best-laid plans of love" – on Sept. 30, Oct. 1, 7, 8, 9, 14 and 15. All performances will start at 8 p.m. except for the Sunday Matinee on Oct. 9 which starts at 4 p.m. Ticket prices are $15 for adults and $8 for students, and CCT members get their usual discount.
The theater is located at 18 Est. Orange Grove, Christiansted. The box office and bar open at 7:15 p.m. For directions or information, call 778-1983. There is mild adult humor, so we suggest no children under 13 years old.
Murder at the Howard Johnson's tells the tale of a roller-coaster love-triangle gone awry when murder attempts are botched. "Arlene" is searching for herself under the "guise of sexual passion," and discovers the family dentist. Of course things spin out of control and each character points fingers at the others, giving them each a chance to "spout pithy witticisms and ironies of life and love that are sure to make any audience chuckle."
Charles Braslow directs an ensemble cast of Michael Armendariz, Jeanne Johnston and Lionel Downer. Murder at the Howard Johnson's will prove to be just the play to see and help us wrap up our 2004-2005 season with lots of laughs.
Murder at the Howard Johnson's is sponsored Charles Braslow, Business World, Christiansted Apothecary Hall, Coastal Financial Company, Gotts & Associates, Hamilton Real Estate, Mongoose 104.9, Isle 95 & Sunny FM 99.5, and Valance Co., Inc.
