The Source and Jennifer Berry Announce New Food Column

0

Oct. 7, 2005 – The St. Thomas Source is proud to welcome Jennifer Berry – beloved by many as the proprietor and resident food guru of Jen's Gourmet Café – onto the site in the form of her new food and health column, "Don't Give Up Taste to Lose Your Waist!"
Because of her generous agreement to share her wealth of homespun culinary wisdom and experience with us, the Source will now feature some of Jen's famous recipes, as well as her musings on food, health, dieting and whatever else she happens to be thinking about when she hits the keyboard.
Jen has also decided to take the whole thing a step further by inviting our readers to send in their questions. Ever hunger for the secret lore of creating truly delicious and healthy food? Well, if you ask really nicely, maybe Jen will give you the hook up.

Jennifer Berry of Jen's Gourmet Café has been cooking for islanders on St. Thomas for 15 years. From her little place, "Lite Bites," in Trumpeter Gade, to the Green House Restaurant, and now Jen's Deli, she has whipped up culinary delights that always have her customers coming back for more! A 1992 graduate of Johnson & Wales University with a BA in Hotel Restaurant Management, she has made a career out of making people happy with her "comfort food specials." You can find her in the Grand Hotel behind Emancipation Garden downtown, or have her specialties delivered to you for lunch. Jen's Deli has won numerous local awards for its great food and excellent value. Jennifer Berry is Sen. Shawn Michael Malone's selection for "2005 Young Entrepenuer of the Year." See ya at Jen's!
