Hintz Academy of Music was founded in 1998 to provide high quality instruction in music, dance and art. This innovative music school caters to children and adults of all ages and offers a wide variety of musical styles. A number of our alumni have continued their higher education in music at well-known universities such as the Julliard School of Music in New York. The academy introduced the Virgin Islands to the Suzuki Method for piano, violin and viola and is the only school licensed to offer the renowned early childhood program, "Musikgarten", for babies up to 5 years of age in the territory.
The academy is known for its kid-friendly, family-oriented, positive environment where kids are encouraged to develop into well-rounded individuals. The academy follows the high standards of the Conservatory of Music in Puerto Rico, the Music Educators' National Association and the Suzuki Association of the Americas. Classes include piano, violin, viola, cello, saxophone, flute, clarinet, guitar, percussion, voice, ballet, modern jazz, Latin ballroom, sign-language, yoga, family yoga, Musikgarten, music theory, art and more.
