The Community Foundation Announces Impact Grants

Oct. 17, 2005 – The Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands (CFVI) announced the availability of Community Impact Grants from the Drury Fund to be used to implement innovative projects for children.
Community Impact Grants ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 will be awarded on a competitive basis to individuals and organizations submitting applications in the areas of public education, children's well being or youth sports. Applications in which two or more organizations will collaborate on a project may request a grant of up to $10,000. Grant awards will not be made for travel or to support an organization's operating budget.
Completed applications must be received at the office of CFVI no later than 5 p.m., Friday, Dec. 16. Currently there are more than 70 named funds at the foundation. Last year, it provided more than $1.1 million in grants, scholarships and program support in the United States Virgin Islands.
